Oncology Yoga class to reduced fatigue through research based movement.

Description

Fatigue is one of the most common and debilitating side effects of cancer and its treatments.

70-80% of cancer patients report ‘fatigue’. And cancer-related fatigue is different from the fatigue of normal ‘daily life’. It is paralyzing. Cancer-Related Fatigue (CRF) can last from months to years. It often continues years after treatment ends. Historically, rest was believed to be a management tool but research has proven that movement and exercise to be the best solution to manage cancer related fatigue.

Yoga has been proven to be effective in managing short and long term side effects and improve long term health. American Cancer Society and other oncology organizations recommends a minimum of 150 minutes of yoga per week for all cancer survivors.
